We’re doing it! We’re changing the narrative and giving all things bladder, catheters and chronic health some well deserved air time!

Steph’s packed lunch- Tuesday 7th June 2022

Just when we thought the month of June couldn’t get any better: people talking online and sharing their new found catheter confidence, people busting myths on continence and bladder health, I managed to bag an appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch – Channel 4 – where we discussed my journey with catheterisation!

By sharing, normalising and talking about my bladder health journey nationally, our online engagement for Catheter Confidence Week seemed to grow and people jumped on board the World Continence Week myth busting session like bees to honey – to all the team at Packed Lunch with Steph, I can’t thank you enough for affording me this opportunity.

GB News online - Saturday 18th June 2022

In the week’s between Catheter Confidence Week and World Continence Week, I was over the moon to have been contacted by a relatively new news station called GB News.

After chatting with the producer of Nana Akua’s Saturday segment, Difficult Conversations, we firmed up a date for me to make a LIVE appearance.

Arriving at their London studios, the excitement was real! With this interview being longer than my appearance on Steph’s Packed Lunch, it was important to me to not only highlight bladder conditions, Fowlers Syndrome and invisible illness, but I felt the need to highlight more of the daily trials and tribulations of those suffering with a long-term health problem have to face. We spoke briefly about navigating the NHS, relationships and body image.

Many thanks to Nana Akua, producer Lewis and GB news for having us - what an experience!
